How you’ll spend your days…
You will focus on developing modelling and simulation toolings for the wireless technologies
and then use the toolings to better plan and design our smart warehouses around the world.
Furthermore, you will take advantage of the huge amount of data we collect and use advanced techniques such as machine learning to improve the models over time. Day to day tasks could be;
Develop simulators and models for advanced wireless systems in Python/C/C++.
Collect and analyse large data sets and use machine learning technique to drive optimisation and improvement of the wireless products
Collaborate with other teams to simulate expected system-level performance and provides quick feedback
Develop and maintains a thorough understanding of the system operation, right down to the lowest levels
Share knowledge and up-skill wider teams
Adopt a continual improvement methodology
Support the platform in a live enterprise environment
Write and maintain codebase and documentation.
We’d love to talk to you if you have…
In-depth knowledge of one programming language, preferably Python
Good knowledge of RF principles, such as radio propagation and their impact on system performance
Experience of building simulation toolings for wireless technologies
Hands-on experience with big data analysis and machine learning techniques
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Self-starting and able to build their role autonomously
Relvant degree or qualification in Wireless Communications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
Bonus points if you also have…
Postgraduate degree in Wireless Communications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field
NS-3 network simulator experience
Knowledge of radio propagation modelling techniques, e.g. ray tracing, path loss models
Previous experience with data platforms, e.g. Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, SQL etc
Team player, self-driven and able to manage multiple tasks against business priorities
