The following attributes will lead to success in this role:
A degree or apprenticeship in Engineering or Product Design, or equivalent experience gathered professionally or otherwise.
Strong evidence of a collaborative approach to problem solving, and ability to function effectively in a team environment.
Self-driven, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues independently.
Proven experience in the field of automation or robotics.
Demonstrable experience in rapid prototyping as well as putting products into low medium and high volume production.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Design for manufacture and assembly.
Full product lifecycle support, from concept development to implementation and continuous improvement, including high-volume manufacture.
Extensive CAD experience, ideally in SolidWorks, although other CAD packages would be considered.
This will make you stand out from the crowd:
Hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, or rapid prototyping.
Experience in FEA, modal analysis, or topology optimisation.
